I propose having a section...
Call it "estimation station", it's a place for valuing things.
Looking for other ideas for a name.

I was also thinking about having a thread with a car, it's VIN and any data that the poster finds,

Example:
Picture of a chevelle
VIN, 13637g345678
Not an SS, sold at BJ in 2012 for $200,000

I would think that having a huge thread like database would be a great addition...but...keep comments edited as to not cloud the topic with blah.

Or, having a whole section dedicated to the history of cars, by starting the thread WITH the VIN.

Anyone googling a VIN would immediately find this site.

I kind of had a idea for documenting parts by pn also...

The VIN idea is for long into the future, if OCS had a VIN section, some of the cars that were discussed 20 years ago would be listed there and we'd have a history that would hinder the cloners.

I like it.

VIN section, let's say we start a thread with "red alerts" VIN, if someone here knows a little bit of a story with said car, that person could post a comment with the story, would be worth a good read instead of just having comments.
If someone knows something about a car, you post it in that particular cars thread.
Magazine cars, car show cars etc.
Members could be amateur journalists

If I need to change the name let me know.

Lol.

Create a section for parts.
You post the part number in the title, and then the price, cost, value etc.

Same as the VIN idea.

Reason: if I want to know what carb fits a 70 ls6, when I search carb or LS6, the thread pops up and the pn is there and any info.

People come to car sites and ask for a specific pn for something, well, we would have a working database, pn, repro, who sells it, etc. Can even add ratings on what repro place has the better part.
Like legendary seat covers etc...legendary are the best and GU sells them. Last pair I bought was shipped in 3 months, for example.

I hope I'm not coming across retarded, just want to have a really good place.

Estimation is for value of cars and things, eBay ads etc.

VIN section is for cars for a historical database.
