My 69 project

Looks perfect. Did they leave the calipers bare? Brake Booster?? Steve Gregori? Booster Dewey? I've used both but afaik, Booster Dewey only rebuilds boosters and replates the gold iridate....they'll replate your brake line prop valve bracket also. What'd you do there? I've purchsed a rebuild kit for the prop valve online, but for the life of me, can't remember who they were and I aint going through that shoebox. Iirc, the kit was $9 and I bought 4 and sold a couple, gave 1 away.

Yes calipers are bare. Not sure what they are sealed with. I can find out. I may redo some of my bare stuff. Metering valve was also done by them. My distribution block on the frame well let’s say I did that but will probably redo it.

The leg of the distribution block should be gold iridate, they'd probably plate it for free but you'd have to wait for another batch. The brass block looks stunning when you sand it down with 400, then a scotch brite pad. You'll have to work the leg loose, then restake it once you get it back. I will add, '69 used an early version that's cast iron and it has a bolted on leg, can't really tell which version you have.

Yes your right. That’s why I may redo it or have it redone. Originally it was cast iron. After I saw all repo pictures they were brass so that’s what I did. It’s just rattle can paint so should be easy to change. Bracket was also painted but I’ll probably have that plated.

That fender and my cousin are to blame for where I am. You need to change the body bushings he says before you do your patches and body work. That lead to the two ways I’ve found to do that. Where would I’d be if I just did one side at a time.

Not sure if I recognized it before or not, but your car is a cortez silver/black 136 car? Funny, this used to be my least favorite color combo, now it's my favorite. It's just a mean looking ride!! Great to see all the before and "in progress" pics, love it!
