Didn’t want to get my car post off track. I didn’t agree with non Chevelle topic on the Chevelle site. I wrote a post. I was wrong. Glad you open the options. Anyways this is one thing that has/is keeping me or will keep me from working on it. Only working weekends and travel an hour to get there. What you see with spacers is two days work. Gonna be awhile. Only for my mother-in-law. Oh and during the week a 4 year old.

My knees hurt just looking at your floor (which looks great by the way). I've done more flooring than I care to even mention, and that's one of those things I don't like doing (my knees are wiped out from doing so many floors).

As humans we are much more complex and cars are not the only things in our lives, so share whatever you like, and we all are a little better for it. Thanks.

Remember, finishing projects is just like eating an elephant.... one bite at a time.

There is always something that gets in the way of a Chevelle. I got to the point where I was tired of seeing the car in pieces and just bit the bullet to get it done.

I think that many of us car guys will cease to exist if we didn't have projects, any project.

Yes as for my knees. I didn’t believe in knee pads until I started doing floor jobs and didn’t wear a back brace until I started lifting 80 pound bags of mortar. The project before this one. Sorry for all the pictures. It started as just a metal building. All stone thrown on the wall by hand, troweled, stamped and carved. One 80 pound mortar bag + carving mixture only does a 4x6 area about 5 to 8 blocks. Pictures are throughout outside and inside. Just 1 of three structures built.

Chelan Washington. Tunnel hill Ziplines. Probably some videos on YouTube. Not the building but maybe. Sad the owner wasn’t in great health and got Covid earlier in the year and passed before we finished. Successful man. Richard Kelley. He was in politics, a lawyer, wrote a couple books. One published one he finished right before he left. Book is deathstroke. He likes castles he built one before in Mexico. There is a site somewhere with picture. I think the info is in his book bio. Voted top places to stay in a mag. I’ve never been but hear in incredibly nice. He also built a battery powered vw. Rode in that in to town a few times. Fun. There is also a video of him and his yellow vw bug. Voltswagon on YouTube somewhere to. Anyways it was fun, I learned a lot and now I’m here. Hope you enjoyed the story and if you find any videos hope you enjoy.

Haven’t posted lately. Seems like not a lot of time to do so. Here is the floors as of last weekend. Demo and also installed cabinets. I have also been working on the Chevelle as much as I can. I will try to update that post later. Hope you are all doing good on your projects.

Another day in paradise. Finished the last of the cement board in the main part of the house today. Unpacked the new island. Until next weekend.

Looking good. I'm all to familiar with construction projects running tandem with other things going on.

Just ended another fun filled weekend of laying tile. Glad to see an end of this room coming. Cabinets and island done minus trim. Waiting on countertops. Note to self stop trying to be a out of town weekend warrior.

Seems work is never done, but when it's finished it'll be relaxation time (until you figure out another project). Seems as humans we always want to improve what we have and make it our own.

Unfortunately we see what happens with idle hands. Love the work just decided work close to home. Now to find someone to hire a blind guy. Your doing a great job on your projects also. I like trying to follow along.

As humans we are so diverse in our interests and I really like when others like yourself show off what they can do. I'm very glad you're here and very much enjoy seeing your progress. Are you seeing impaired? Was there an accident?

I got glaucoma in the early 2000s lost my left eyes right eye damag over 50%. Then a couple years back got cataracts in both eyes but since my left one is gone I only had surgery on my right. Big difference though I can see a lot better now and had stayed pretty stable.

I'm sorry. Glaucoma happens usually later in life, unless there were underlying conditions like diabetes. I'm glad you can at least see though, and probably better than me.

I could use glasses but refuse to wear contacts (I just can't touch my eyes) and with a steel sliver penetrating my right eye, it did some damage, but I can still see out of it (but cloudy). I just use 2.50 readers like the old guy I am and refuse to change (my own fault).
