I see in the Yahoo news that a lot of 20-30 something "influencers" are dying out of nowhere. No wondering why here...

    Battery thread

If the car came with an AGM, it needs to be replaced with an AGM. Doing otherwise will cause weird electrical issues. The is no advantage to an AGM in an older car. But regardless, batteries are out of sight price-wise these days.

    What’d you work on today?

I've been free for two years and mine reaches out from time to time with some bullshit. She sent a text this am reminding me that today would have been our 33rd anniversary, and I'd completely forgotten. Thankfully, she is 1,000 miles away without the means to come here to visit.

    What’d you work on today?

We are running into this at the dealership level all the time. Anything over 10-12 years old, model specific PCMs, BCMs, ABS modules and such are no longer available. We don't touch used electronics at all, no matter how much someone begs.

1970 El Camino 4 Wheel Power Drum Brake Issue

I think this plastic sleeve thing takes the place of an internal pushrod, and it won't come out for me to look any further.

1970 El Camino 4 Wheel Power Drum Brake Issue

Update agian... I removed the master and had my son apply the brakes and the first pic is what I saw. This hard plastic thing the pushrod is in comes out with the pushrod, and it presses against the piston to the extent of its travel, and the pushrod is floatong loose in the master cylinder...

    What’d you work on today?

Beth, its one of these, '68-'70 used it before they went to the one you show, which in those years was common to either disc or drum. This hold off, or delay valve is a disc only part. There is a button on the back that must be depressed to bleed the fronts, and I forgot about it. A line comes...

    What’d you work on today?

I replaced the calipers, brake pads and hoses on my '68 Caprice. This was the first time I've repacked bearings in a long while, i did it the old fashioned way, working them into a palm full of grease. I even spun them with compressed air to hear them zing, you know, like you are not supposed...

OK, we all know what spring brings

I've seen that picture many times and it is incomprehensible to me that someone can look like that, let alone be so casual about it. A sense of shame is another thing that has been lost to society.

    1972 454 SS W code

I use the PF1218, painted white with a red and blue sticker on it to look like a '60's version. I'm in at under $10, and the "repro" ones are $35.
