Installed the glove box liner in the Chevelle. It’s a hard plastic bucket, basically, since a regular liner won’t fir due to the Vintage Air system. This week I’m going to charge the AC system. Also put the door locks in. Had trouble getting thr door handle to stay on and engage with the...

    What’d you work on today?

Installed the seatbelts and door locks in the convertible. Couldn’t get the window cranks to stay on. They would pop off immediately or if they managed to stay on, would not engage the teeth. Had both of them on the car for three years with no issues and reinstalled them in the same position...

    What’d you work on today?

It’s a really fun car to drive fast. It’s not powerful, but it’s light and very nimble. With the weight reduction and HP increase it has about the same power to weight as the Fiesta but handles way better without the extra 1200#. Hondas are generally pretty cheap to maintain because they don’t...

    What’d you work on today?

Had the Honda out over the weekend for a local two day autocross. The Fiesta is more competitive but the CRX is way more fun to drive. Had a tire come unseated Saturday before I could get a clean run. The rim on the side that broke was a little wavy but it also had a bad valve stem. Finished...

    What’d you work on today?

20 years ago I replaced the 2004r in the Chevelle in a similar manner. Today? Nope nope, nopenopenope. I mean, not necessarily because I can’t (last year I did 225x17 on the bench), but because I just really don’t want to. I don’t see the point. I have to pull it again to replace the front...

    What’d you work on today?

Spent 5 hours on the Honda today. Replacing the clutch. What a fucking pain in the ass. It was so much easier 6 Years ago. Then I just got under the car and shoved the fucking transmission into place and put the bolts in. Now I had to use a jack and some ingenuity for a transmission that...

Good seller. I’ve done that before, but the buyer gets what the buyer ordered even if I have to order it from somewhere else. It kills me to have to send a refund.

Yeah those little practice amps are not very good - Fender Frontman, Donner, etc. If you’ve got a couple hundred you can spend, keep an eye on FB or CL, good little tube amps pop up a lot. They are still practice amps but sound way better. I’ve got a little Crate V5 I picked up for like $125...

As long as it’s fun, it’s all good. Playing together actually helps a lot. I’ve gotten way better since I started with the School of Rock group. I’ve actually been keeping my eye on Bandmix and Vampr, I figure sooner or later I’ll audition for an actual working band. So is that an Orville or...

What are the amps? Tube amps need to be cranked otherwise they sound meh. I bought an attenuator that goes between the amp and the speaker, that way the amp is at full volume and I use the attenuator to set the volume to the speaker

Just got back from a test drive in the Chevelle. Just a few more things - an exhaust leak just in front of the driver side muffler, and the leaking front transmission seal. After That it’s the AC drain tube and charge the AC, install the seatbelts, make sure the TC 4th gear lockup is working...

They will never replace Jeremey, James, and Richard, but they are pretty good.

They stopped those here too about 10 years ago. Finally, no more inspector failing me for a 1/2” cut in my windshield wiper blade while passing his buddy in line behind me with his dented up clapped out hooptie held together with duct tape because I’m white and his buddy is black. I renew...

    What’d you work on today?

Installed the new reproduction front eyebrow mouldings and the pinchweld mouldings. The front ones were not terribly great. They required a bit of work to install and they still don’t look exactly right but ai just keep reminding myself this is not a Z16 convertible or evening orchid 69 Camaro...

    What’d you work on today?

Pretty sure the PCMRC circuit in the PCM is fried. It’s purpose is to ground the trigger circuit for the main PCM relay and send 12v to the relay so it will close. Going to need to send it out to get repaired or just replace it.
