A friend of mine since the early 80’s passed away Sat night/Sunday they think 3:30-4am, his wife found him laying on the kitchen floor around 6:30am Sunday, they were at their retirement property I think in Citrus county, N Fl, he had bought a dbl wide mfg home and fixed it up, was going to make one more trip down to St Pete to load up his Harley and a few small items then say Adios to St Pete, retire from roofing and go full time into his beef jerky biz, Grizzly’s Beef Jerky is very well known around here and is or was FDA approved, his wife said he’d quit drinking about 6 months ago and they had went out to a bar Sat night to see some friends for a couple that were moving back up north, she said he was feeling fine when they went to bed and he had drank anything at the get together, thinking he either had a heart attack or anyurism? real shame being that close to retiring and enjoying being out in the country away from this Fucked up city

Last week he was telling me about a block home 3 bedroom 2 bath an out bldg large enough for a few cars on over an acre for $160k that’s near his property and I said find out the contact info that’s close enough I could still run my business here in St Pete, I didn’t even want to bring that up while talking to his wife, she hadn’t slept and I think was running on adrenaline

Terrible news !
Every time I hear about someone dying our age (60-70) , I wonder if they were vaccinated ?
Just can't help it.
It seems like too many are dying before their time.
I don’t think he was vac’d but not 100% sure, I don’t want to ask his wife anything till I hear back about a celebration of life, I think that’ll give her some time to calm down, my wife was reading on FB about him then asked me if I knew and I said no but I’ll call and find out so I called his cell and no answer so I called her cell and she told me the news but was upset someone had already put the news out on FB I don’t even know who put it out there since I didn’t think to ask Kathy where she read it or who I guess, I don’t FB but have an acct Kathy stays up to date with friends on

Rick, so sorry about the loss of your friend! I have a good buddy who is divorced and survived 2 major open heart surgeries but he lives alone and gets pretty down at times. I really wish I lived closer but I told him yesterday while we chatted by text that I’d be calling today. Old friends will “always be friends”! May your friend RIP and 🙏 for his wife & family.
