Other life

I have to get cataract surgery on my left eye later this year, not looking forward to it.
I can’t tell you not to worry cause I know how it is. I can tell yo., Do it. You will be amazed at how good you can see. There are trade offs like focusing and maybe dry eyes. These can be helped though with regular reading glasses and eye drops like refresh. Try to avoid visene. This was at least in my case. After they gave me whatever to put me out don’t remember any of the surgery. Technology along with good eye doctors are available now. I hope you decide to do it and I pray all goes well. Keep me updated and if you have any questions ask I maybe able to help. By the way surgery and recovering we’re both quick. One day. Not to 100% but close. I also need corrective lenses but I don’t wanna wear glasses anymore unless they are safety glasses. I have a four year old that likes to throw stuff and play with eyes. Walmart has a pair I like. I find it by the sandpaper/paint area.

I'm sorry. Glaucoma happens usually later in life, unless there were underlying conditions like diabetes. I'm glad you can at least see though, and probably better than me.

I could use glasses but refuse to wear contacts (I just can't touch my eyes) and with a steel sliver penetrating my right eye, it did some damage, but I can still see out of it (but cloudy). I just use 2.50 readers like the old guy I am and refuse to change (my own fault).
yes I’ve always been one of the youngest guy in the waiting room. You should see the looks I get from all the older folks..🙂 Even though we all can’t see well.🙂

I find it by the sandpaper/paint area. This was the last project I was working on before I had my cataract surgery. On the roofing I had to literally be 2 inches away from the line to see it and still wasn’t clear. Used a lot of homemade guide tools (still like to). Gable vent was not centered. My siding was also short in places. After my cataract surgery I went and corrected a few things like the vent but kept the rest for memory of what was.Another summer project to finish. Glad I already bought the osb and lumber before now.

I like that you made your own tools to help you. Smart. Glad you can see now though.
I can say I was at least fortunate enough to see almost perfect before. Learned slot not knowing and use memory. Also had a good skilled contractor boss I give alot of credit to. Shoot I was working at subway (which is a good job) and fast food before I started building. That’s my love. I wish I got into cars and engines more as a kid growing up but I also would like to do alot of other thing to. I think we are all pretty handy rigging up tools. Got alot of ideas for others you included.

Last weekend we finished cutting and dry fitting all the tile for the main part of the house. This weekend hopefully mortar it and hopefully a lot of grout. It been a long process just weekends, but to say there is no more tile to cut in the main room bittersweet. Still have 3 bedrooms a bathroom and laundry room to go or the other half of the house oh well

Nice looking floor...

That's only one facet of what's going on..... having plans drawn for the new place, putting my house up for sale, and coordinating it like a true ADHD person who can harness the power of multitasking.
Ya I interested in the new house you have going to. Good luck and post as much as you get time to.
