Jimmy Carter 39th President

I'm just glad he is finally gone.
He effed up my life pretty well when it should have been my best days.
Will they put "Double nickles" on his eyes before they cremate him to prevent us pissing on his grave?

While I echo President Carter's time as president was indeed a failure, he did do much to redeem himself. Unfortunately most people have a hard time forgetting the position he put most people in.

The problem is that holding on to something like that for this long is not healthy - physically and mentally. At some point you have to let things go.

A lot of people think Jimmy Carter is 100% phony - as a christian and a person.
True, he helped Habitat for Humanity.
He claimed he opposed abortion and looked the other way when late term abortions were committed.
He always supported the Palestinians over Israel and after leaving office, accepted huge donations from Islamists. Is that what a "christian leader" does ?
How could he not denounce his own party for attacking Trump ? Or did he approve ? He never criticized any of the horrific policies we've had to live under the last 4 years.
He reminds me of our current Pope. I'm not catholic, but it didn't take long for the public to notice that this Pope says things a true christian wouldn't.
We have fakes everywhere.
Don't hate the man at all. Everyone's a sinner but only some are forgiven.

This might open someone's eyes :

Carter’s Arab financiers

Wednesday, December 20, 2006

To understand what feeds former president Jimmy Carter’s anti-Israeli frenzy, look at his early links to Arab business.
Between 1976-1977, the Carter family peanut business received a bailout in the form of a $4.6 million, “poorly managed” and highly irregular loan
from the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). According to a July 29, 1980 Jack Anderson expose in The Washington Post, the bank’s biggest borrower was Mr. Carter,
and its chairman at that time was Mr. Carter’s confidant, and later his director of the Office of Management and Budget, Bert Lance.

At that time, Mr. Lance’s mismanagement of the NBG got him and the bank into trouble. Agha Hasan Abedi, the Pakistani founder of the Bank of Credit and
Commerce International (BCCI), known as the bank “which would bribe God,” came to Mr. Lance’s rescue making him a $100,000-a-year consultant. Abedi
then declared: “we would never talk about exploiting his relationship with the president.” Next, he introduced Mr. Lance to Saudi billionaire Gaith Pharaon,
who fronted for BCCI and the Saudi royal family. In January 1978, Abedi paid off Mr. Lance’s $3.5 million debt to the NBG, and Pharaon secretly gained control over the bank.

Mr. Anderson wrote: “Of course, the Saudis remained discretely silent… kept quiet about Carter’s irregularities… [and] renegotiated the loan to Carter’s advantage.”

There is no evidence that the former president received direct payment from the Saudis. But “according to… the bank files, [it] renegotiated the repayment terms…
savings… $60,000 for the Carter family… The President owned 62% of the business and therefore was the largest beneficiary.” Pharaon later contributed generously

to the former president’s library and center.

When Mr. Lance introduced Mr. Carter to Abedi, the latter gave $500,000 to help the former president establish his center at Emory University. Later, Abedi contributed
more than $10 million to Mr. Carter’s different projects. Even after BCCI was indicted — and convicted -— for drug money laundering, Mr. Carter accepted $1.5 million
from Abedi, his “good friend.”

A quick survey of the major contributors to the Carter Center reveals hundreds of millions of dollars from Saudi and Gulf contributors.
But it was BCCI that helped Mr. Carter establish his center.

Thank You Cat, that is something that I never knew. I knew about his not standing behind the Shah but the Shah ruled with an iron fist so I thought that was why he wouldn't support him. With all of Carters dealings with the arabs I wonder why they allowed the hostage crisis to go on for 444 days. I guess we'll never know about that.
What I do know is that there were hardly any jobs in the area around northeast NJ and NYC was a shithole. FWIW Carter totally ignored the area up here.
When it came to keeping the country fiscally sound he was horrible.

We hear a lot of talk these days about how law enforcement has gone downhill.
In my view a that began with Carter and the double nickel speed limits.
Cops wanted a share of the new revenue, and got it, even if it meant a "Work slowdown".
States were greedy and loved the fines, so cops got their raises every time.
Having learned how to shake down the states they never stopped doing it.
It was all based on fines, MANY of which were bogus.
I was told more than once, "I'm the COP, who do you think the Judge is going to believe, sign here!"
This became a part of LE culture, and the rot spread.

I was pulled over for a BS reason but rode an extra 4-5 city blocks to my house to keep my new Harley from the back of a wrecker, cop forced me off the road but into my front yard then busted up my face after he grabbed my right hand and I pulled it back, Resisting arrest with Violence, busted my face on his car fender, 1981 or 82, cops were really fucked up then

I remember when Reagan finally ditched that 55 mph speed limit.
The transportation secretary was Elizabeth Dole, Bob Dole's wife.
She wanted to keep it and I never forgot how that sorry bitch tried to screw us all !
Reagan told her to pound sand.
:)

I remember voting for Carter in 1976 when we lived in Florida. We had just been thru the infamous Watergate scandal and weren’t fans of Gerald Ford, so we fell for Jimmy’s smile!

Our relatives in Georgia warned us that he had been a horrible Governor! I actually bought a Billy beer at a 7-11 just for fun! 🤣

For those not knowledgable about the JFK assassination and the “coverup” Commission, Gerald Ford was on that Commission and purportedly was responsible for “doctoring“ the autopsy sketch!!

But, in the end, I do believe Jimmy had some good attributes. RIP

I've held a low opinion of Garth Brooks for a long time. He's a closet woke liberal who pretends to be the "good christian" as does his wife Trisha Yearwood.
I went out on a limb and pointed out how Jimmy Carter took millions from the Saudis and always supported the palestinian side over the Israelis.
How does a christian man do this ?
Now Garth and Trisha sang "Imagine" at Jimmy's funeral, an anti-religious song which is an anthem for athiests.
Even John Lennon was embarrassed that he wrote these lyrics years later.
What a godless thing to do at a funeral !
