Amsoil

I finally ran out of my stock of Amsoil and was searching locally for a supplier and the cheapest I could find was $17.50 a quart for Signature Series. I then went on Amsoil website and see I can order from them directly, and if I join the preferred status, I can get it for $11.98 per quart and $11.07 per quart if I buy it buy it by the gallon. So I opened and account and saved a bit of money. Spending the $20 for preferred status still saved me $40 alone.

I had bought a few cases at our last house and got a good deal back then at $12 a quart, and prices will go up, but $17.50? Just markup for profit.

What do you pay for a gallon of the below? Retail shows $39.59. If I become a preferred for $20 I get the discount price AND Free Shipping on all orders?

I ordered $140 worth of oil.

From their site:

How do I Get FREE Shipping?

Online/catalog customers and Preferred Customers in the contiguous United States receive free shipping on orders of $100 or more. Orders less than $100 ship for a flat rate of $9.99.

I prefer Amsoil to Mobil 1 myself, but I can't do a comparison. I use the signature series which has a 25k mile warranty, but change my oil every 10k miles.

The only thing I can say is I've never had an engine failure due to oil and I'm hard on my stuff (Lisa not so much).

Your ZO # should get you free shipping over a certain amount. I can give you mine if you need it.

I just picked up a case of 6 Mobile1 5w30 for our Generac, $31.98 on sale at Sam’s, Mobile1 5w20 is in my 2009 Ram, I know Amsoil is the original Syn but I like the price of Mobile1

I might have to get on this then. I would assume that they are equal to Mobil 1 synthetic

Your question had me research, and in all the tests I could find on ytube (including blackstone tests), Amsoil surpasses Mobil 1. When I swapped the engine in my 2000 ranger (V6 3.0 and it was plumb wore out), I pulled the parts (valve cover and intake) the top end was really clean. Never took the pan off, but I can only assume it was just as clean. When I swapped in a used engine with 63k miles on it 5 years ago (which is still in the truck now), the old engine had 298k miles on it. The newer engine with 63k was clean when I inspected it (top and bottom) before I installed it (put all new gaskets in), and that has 113k miles on it now.
