Gene Hackman dead at 95

I don’t think they died of natural causes, gas leak? One of them holding a gun that leaked? Furry kid excluded

Well, we lost one of our own, sadly. I have something in common with Gene Hackman. He wasn't born there like me but we both grew up in Danville, Illinois. Actually, I left Danville when I was 8 (grew up in FL).

What a great actor & Marine of 5 years! At 10 years old he always wanted to become an actor!

He did many great movies, but I just love “Hoosiers”! Of course, I married a Hoosier too, but that movie was so historically correct!!!!!

Hopefully, the cause of death will be known.

RIP Gene, wife & dog! Very sad!

Wow, very sad. I describe him as a guy who looked 55 years old for 30 years. Just a fantastic actor with so many great rolls. RIP. He was really up there is years but from what I saw his wife looked a fair bit younger. Very sad.

I’m. It a huge movie guy but Hackman was top shelf. He was often not the lead or the “good guy” but the guy who was on the wrong side or compromised.

Epic exchange.......

Capt. Ramsey: From Portugal. The Lipizzaner stallions. The most highly trained horses in the world. They’re all white?
Hunter: Yes, sir.
Capt. Ramsey: “Yes, sir” you’re aware they’re all white or “Yes, sir” you’ve seen them?
Hunter: Yes, sir I’ve seen them. Yes, sir I was aware that they’re are all white. They are not from Portugal; they’re from Spain and at birth, they’re not white; they’re black. Sir.
Capt. Ramsey: I didn’t know that. But they are from Portugal.
[Chuckling]
Capt. Ramsey: Some of the things they do, uh, defy belief. Their training program is simplicity itself. You just stick a cattle prod up their ass and you can get a horse to deal cards.
[Chuckles]
Capt. Ramsey: Simple matter of voltage.

What a talent he was, sold every role he had.
RIP to all of them.

He was probably the most versatile actor of all time......he was also funny, not always a hard nosed person!....ever see the Bird Cage with Robin Williams & Hackman? So funny! But, he shined in traumatic roles for sure! Behind Enemy Lines is one of my favs! RIP!

He fell out from heart failure, she OD’d herself and the poor dog starved to death is just a guess from me sitting on my ass here on the couch, had back Injections yesterday so get to sit around today

Great actor, I really liked his acting in the Clint Eastwood 90’s western movie but can’t think of the name right now, RIP Mr Hackman
