Picked up this truck for an after summer project. It’s a 350 4 barrel not sure what transmission yet, with a 12 bolt ,not sure what gear ratio yet. Plan is to sell the running engine and transmission. I have the hopped up 5.3 and 4l60e out of my Chevelle that I replaced in 2021.
Plan is to spend the least amount of money lol
Ended up finding the exact same MSD atomic efi ls new in the box. That I’ve been running in my Chevelle for years for $500.
Found 2004 GM accessory brackets on flea bay for under $100
Ordered new remy alternator, dayco tensioner kit for AC and main drive and a couple other parts for under $400.
Just need a ac compressor, water pump(might have one), and power steering pump (looking for one at the pick and pull) and the accessories are done.
Already had the TBSS intake, injectors and a 92 mm throttle body.
Texas speed had a sale on cams so I picked up one that will be better than the cam that’s currently in it.
TSP cam for the truck is a 212/218 .600 .600 112 LSA
I’ll end up selling the cam that’s in it a Tick performance SNS 227/235 .618 .605" LSA 110+3
Already had the FTI 3200 stall
I already had TSP PRC 5.3 2.5 heads.
Already had the engine mounts that were given to me last year.
Need to find headers and electric fans, efi fuel tank.(might just order that from tanks inc)
Suspension will stay stock and I’ll install new rubber bushings. New shocks, new springs.

Interior is not good but all the parts are there. Need some foam and a cover for the seats.

Where’d you find a new EFI for $500!?

I’d love to LS swap my truck but your list of things to do reminded me why I best not open that can of worms.

Wed love to see pictures as you progress through the project.

Well the engine and transmission sold to the first person that looked at it. Took half the payment as a deposit. I started dismantling the front, guess I’ll be working this weekend.

The guy picked it up a couple hours ago. My son’s moving about 4 hours away Saturday so he gave me a hand getting it out and loaded onto the buyers pickup. Can’t really see the paint but it was purple 😂 actually had a guy ask if there were any leaks on this old SBC 🤦‍♂️ this engine ended up being a 1983 305 but that’s what the buyer wanted a 305 🤷‍♂️

I was in my early 20’s when I swapped a 350 in a 73-75? Monte WO resealing and then realized it not only leaked oil in many places it also needed a cpl freeze plugs so repaired those things while it was in the car, even a rear plug, so since that mess I always resealed and new brass freeze plugs in any engine swap, Mo $ but no drips in driveways
