Val Kilmer

Epic performer. I first saw him in Real Genius, he ruled. ... and the Best Batman imo. RIP VK.

Geez, what was I thinking ? Val did my all-time favorite western scene in Tombstone :
The first meeting between Doc Holliday and Ringo :

The epic fight scene. This scene is so famous YouTube has lowered the quality because of copyright protection.
My favorite line was Doc Holliday (Val) standing over the dead Johnny Ringo : "I'm afraid the strain was more than he could bear." :)

The gun fight in heat will never be duplicated, his jim morrison portrayal was stellar and real genius was hysterical.

Apparently he died from pneumonia. He was a favorite of mine in movies already mentioned above, but one of my favorite lines of his was as Doc Holliday on his death bed (in Tombstone) when he tells Wyatt, “There is no normal life Wyatt, there’s just life!” RIP sir!

Are Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer still friends?

In an interview via email with the LA Times in 2022, Kilmer said the duo had remained friends since "Top Gun. We talked quite a bit
about what was best for the story of Top Gun: Maverick and I think they got it right at the end," Kilmer wrote of Cruise.
Tom and I get along really well."

Maverick, Its not your flying, its your attitude

I missed this on the first. Val Kilmer being a Great Actor and him dying at the age of 65 is way too young for an actor living in Cali in this day and age of great health care.
RIP

Yes, they were still friends. That`s why he was in top gun 2.
Saw an interview and they said Kilmer lost his voice and they had to dub his voice in for the movie.
Sad, very talented guy. RIP.
