So he starts his video saying he never saw the car before he spent $89K and then he claims to know what he's talking about. But keeps saying stupid stuff like " I hope its the throttle valve adjustment" on a Powerglide ? that upshifts too fast !!! Yeah right Then he says numbers matching didn't start until 1967 ??? WTF where did this guy get his facts from ???

His biggest mistakes above start around 13 minutes in to the video. Later on he complains about the missing clock in the dashboard but points to the clock in the console ?
To me that 42K 1966 Chevelle SS396 looked pretty nice but I would never buy a Chevelle with a Powerglide, even if it was an OEM numbers matching born with transmission. Much less spend $89K and then complain about its poor shifting !

I could not stand to listen to that guy. Maybe he should have sent his "resident 66 Chevelle expert" go look at it before buying it.
Not to offend anyone but, why would a grow man in his late 60`s have a mullet like that?
My son walked in while I was watching the video and he said, get a hair cut. :ROFLMAO:

And he didn't even go look at it in person, I seen that vid a cpl days ago

I cant see the video. Though this seems to be the trend lately. People are buying these cars because they want to stand out or just like them but know nothing about what it takes to actually care for one. We are dealing with this currently with a friend of a friend. Almost 100k in to a classic car that is undrivable. Mixed engine parts from what they think or hear from people. Improper suspension for street driving, etc. . Then wonders why his wife cant drive it. It looks like it'll be coming home with me soon to get it straight. He's willing to throw more money to it and get it street-able.

Yes I'll be posting it up on the site after I get it and working through it.

When I seen the vid a cpl days ago the guy in this vid bought it for, or was comissioned to buy the car for a gentleman to give it to an old friend as a gift, so this guys says he searched high and low for the Right 66 SS and finally came across this one,,, But never went to look at it and dropped $89k plus $2k shipping (seller did split shipping) and Im 100% sure he didnt spend his own $ and that $ for a PG car SS or not is crazy IMHO

In 1975 my dad gave me a 66 Caliente' vert with a 289 auto that he bought in 69 after selling my 67 327 4 spd Camaro while I was at school, man was I Pissed! I never Ever let him forget about how Pissed I was either, the Camaro would've ran circles around that Merc, girls liked the drop top, I liked banging gears but banging something else wasn't bad either 😆

My Dad threw out all my wheels and tires, original 396 L78 exhaust manifolds and much more I’m sure.....when I had sold my Chevelle and entered the Army. I never thought to ask him after so many years, but he knew I’d sold the car so he likely figured that “junk” wasn’t worth anything!🤣
