Welcome from another Floridian, what are you driving or working on and we like pics of cars and projects 👍🙂 oh just reread you have a 68 vert, mine a coupe and they have a lot of 1 year only bits and pieces lol
 
Why the LS1
oh right better Gas Mileage
My Dad's New 68 Chevelle 300 had a 307 ci that I drove at 16 yrs old
pig on Gas / Dad would say " not again " as I was filling her up from the Farm Gas Tank which was about -15 cents a Gal
Pump Gas at the Stations were 25 Cents a Gal
