The annual Memorial Day car show at Quinnipiac University is canceled.
My granddaughter will be more disappointed.
Here we are pulling in last year. :(
The only 1964 Malibu SS. Or 1964 Malibu for that matter.1747658796406.jpeg

My concern is many of the young kids have no desire to work on or fix the classics. My kids like my classics but have no desire to work on them or learn. I think the computer age has alot to do with it.

My 30 yr old stepson didn't even care about a DL when he turned 16, finally got one but then didn't want a car, Finally at 17-18? He was going to buy a brand new car till we talked him out of that and gave him Kathys late 90's Explorer sport

I kinda had a feeling last year that this show wouldn't last much longer.
There went as many cars and they didn't even have the huge American flag hanging from the crane?
The donation went from $10. to $20. And they didn't even give you a bottom of water?
We`ve been going for about 15 years and they at least did that and a plaque.

Looks like there are still lots of car people up there (y)
A church near Hendersonville (35 miles from me) has a huge group meet every Friday.
Soon as NVDA stock goes high enough, I'm moving again so I'll be closer to family and more car people.
:ROFLMAO:

There`s a huge show in Middletown every year. They close Main St. down.
People say, if you want to leave early, forget about it. Too many cars.
Never been and I dont think I would want to be stuck there till 10:00 PM on a Tuesday night.

This is every friday at a local church with a huge parking lot. Very cool !

My son is 26 and has yet to drive the Chevelle he will be inheriting. I gave him his grandfather's tools yesterday, he is starting to fix stuff and ask me how to do it. My daughters boyfriend considers me to be his father (his real father is a PITA scum), I have been teaching him car stuff, he helped me with the lawn tractor, genuinely wants to learn.
Yesterday he was changing his oil for the first time on a F150 he bought with a 4.6L, could not figure out how to get the oil filter out and asked for my help. Very simple, the pitman arm was in the way, I told him to turn the wheel to the left a little, filter came right out. There is hope for the younger generation.

My son works on his Honda. Yesterday, he call me and said it was ticking more than usual.
They tick when they are running and he looked it up and they say it`s the fuel pump.
Just as he was telling me this, he stops and says, OMG, I just ran out of gas??!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
I said, well.... I guess you know why it was ticking more.:ROFLMAO:
