Driver side plugs don't look too bad...

They've been in there since early 2021. I plan on changing them all out when I get the car back from the welding shop.

What’s getting welded on the car?

I guess you didn't see my post about that:

I went to Autozone to get the new spark plugs. I had them pull one of the AC Delco equivalents, and it was actually longer than the Autolite by quite a bit. That won't work with the headers.

Here are the passenger side ones. I am a little concerned about number 8 (the first pic is 2-4-6-8 from left to right - second pic they are in the opposite order).

Usually you see it on old engines for a few reasons. Oil drains to the back of the engine and if the valve seals are leaking or old, when the oil pools at the rear it will seep in. some older iron heads have smaller drains as well. these can get plugged with old oil which helps retain pooling oil. Or, like Kevin eluded to, rings.

Honestly though, comparing to the others, its not super bad. yes its gooked up but not nearly as bad as I've seen and or super passed what the others look like.

I think I will just plan on changing them out every 2 years or so, instead of the 4+ years on this last set.
