50 Years Old

Well with the start of 2022 I guess my 72's are now officially 50 years old, sure, technically the Bronze one is over 50 (8/71) and Gold one is under 50 (5/72).

The Bronze car fired right up today and I took her for a drive. I have been riding in that car all of its life, so nice to hear that 350 fire up with a carb, points and plugs, from a simpler time.

Amen to that. I'm struggling with my wife's 2014 Nissan Pathfinder's CVT transmission. Probably gonna have to install a new valve body, but may have to do something with the software on the computer since I'm changing it, and I don't even know if that is going to fix it. So sick of all the computer bullshit on cars.

I pulled the computer out of my 84 T/A and Stomped it to pieces in my carport/driveway with my boots on in the late 90's because I couldn't pass emissions testing, put a used HEI dist. in, a new Eddy 650 carb and a little tuning and it passed fine, glad they didn't look at the Check Engine light LOL

I am not sold on CVT transmissions, all of the manufactures are having issues with them.

Every car I've had with a CVT has had issues. The last one I bought with a CVT was a 2014 Honda Accord, and at 50k miles wouldn't go into gear without hitting the gas so, I traded it in for a Mazda CX5 with a standard transmission.

I won't buy another vehicle with a CVT.
