Post whatever you’re watching, reviews, etc.

Saw a couple of good movies recently:

Pretty good. Not overtly political at all. Not a “must see” but enjoyable and interesting.

This just opened and stars Kevin James (King of Queens). For those not in the know, he’s reportedly conservative and is buddies with Sandler who is also conservative, but as conservatives they don’t wear their politics on their sleeves.
It’s produced by Angel Studies which obviously has a religious bend. It’s a tasteful romcom (no raunchy humor) filmed in glorious Italy. I recommend it highly if you are going with the significant other. Funny, charming. Kevin James does a great job with the serious scenes. 80% on Rotten Tomatoes despite possibly some libtard review bombing. Reportedly libtards were losing their minds that Kevin James refused to declare support for their views. Fuck them. It’s a really good movie. Hopefully there’s a trend to more films for conservatives.

Dark Winds is an excellent series set on a Navaho reservation.
It starts it's 4th season tomorrow night at 8pm on AMC.
You don't need to have seen the previous 3 seasons to watch the 4th.
It's set in the 1980's and has a lot of late 60's 70's Chevy cars and trucks in it.
(y)
It's already renewed for a fifth season.
Be sure to record it as it moves to AMC+ and you'll have to pay to see it then.

Never heard of it. I’ll check it out.
My father in law keeps recommending Landman.

Landman is good but it's on Paramount+. They ran a special and it cost $14/month so I bought 3 months worth, enough to watch Landman.
I just cancelled and will reup when the next season starts.
If you subscribe this fall, you can watch all 3 seasons.

I'm going to find Old Henry to watch tonight, can't think of the actors name but he played Buster Scruggs in a 4? part movie, I did a search on Netflix last night and not there, ended up watching Mecum Kissimmee 2026 till I was ready to shut my eyes

You have Netflix ? I was thinking about subscribing, but the only thing I want to see is "Lincoln Lawyer."

I highly recommend "Justified". It's on Hulu, but you can pay for it on Amazon and Apple tv.
It's about a Federal marshall in Eastern Kentucky where he grew up dealing with a criminal named Boyd Crowder (played by Walter Goggins).
Great acting and a great story. Lots of shooting and killing LOL. Drug dealing and bank robbers.
6 full seasons ; I own it on bluray.

It's on Amazon Prime too. Just finished S 2 a few days ago.

We have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Paramount, Roku, one or two others that we hardly ever watch so I can't think what they're called, oh and Youtube

Have you watched El Camino?
I will have to watch that ! Did not know they made a movie sequel to Breaking Bad.
I've watched BB twice, the 2nd time in 4K on Netflix.
It's considered the best series ever.

On Amazon Prime, there are two great series. One is "Sneaky Pete."
And the other is a show about a detective on the LA Police force , Harry Bosch.
"Bosch" is a great show, running 6 seasons. And then it came back as "Bosch Legacy" for 3 more seasons.

There was a really good series about a young blonde CIA agent Annie Walker called "Covert Affairs'.
It had 4 seasons and is excellent. It's the 1st series I watched on Amazon about 10 years ago

If you are a Walmart shopper, their delivery service costs about $100 per year but includes the basic version of Paramount Plus or Peacock included. You get one OR the other but can switch every 90 days I think.
