Oliver

Very sorry to hear about Oliver, like said they do leave us too soon, my best buddy is also an older male Chihuahua

Oliver had really been struggling the last couple weeks, he's been on heart meds for about 4 years. Yesterday his kidneys must have shut down because he didn't pee all day so it was time. Mobile Vet came out to the house.
Only Chihuahua I know of that would go out to do business when it's -35.

My little buddy is getting to that point too, at 15 he is feeble and we can tell he is having joint pain. I an dreading the day.

I hate losing pets. They are our kids and when we lost Zeva (Norwegian Elkhound) I was screwed up for days. I didn't want to get another, but Lisa and the kids wanted to and we got Belle. Belle is close to the end now.

50% of the time we have to help her get up so she can go out, but once she's moving she's okay. This will be our last dog. I can't deal with the loss anymore, hurts too much.

I tried the persuade Pam into not getting another after we had to put her first Chihuahua down 14 years ago, but she found Peanut & then the other 2 Oliver about 5 months later then Lucy 7 months after that.

Chihuahuas are a very hearty breed from what our new vet said, are you going to get another? I would

We have a female Chow Chow shepard mix that jumped into Kathys SUV in 2009 when she was dropping off my stepson at his dads house in a tropical rain storm, as soon as Jake open the door to get out she jumped in, had a leather collar twisted to make it smaller because it was too big and had 4'-5' feet of clothes line attached to it, we guessed she broke loose in the rain storm, to this day rain storms freaks her out, vet said she was about 6 months old, never had been in heat, well now she can hardly get up from her jumbo bed in the living room, some times falls down in the yard, we think she's a little senile, it's always so sad when you're loosing a furry kid, my little buddy was a neighbors dog that lived in the garage, I don't want to ramble too much but heres a couple of our rescues, I'd think for a while about getting another, rescues are looking for love and make great pets, my little buddy was going to get put down just because he bit, if I was in jail didnt know why or what was going on I'd be bitting too, last pic is the Chi Kathy took from one of our girls, she's a resc too, she just ate 🙂 Kathy told me we'll always have 5 dogs

So sorry for your loss. It's always a sad time but your good memories of Oliver will pass up the sad ones soon.

So sorry you lost your little buddy. RIP Oliver! My Sister has two Border Collies, Vana (14) and Rip (around 4 I think). Plus, she has a horse "Scooter" who is 33 (that's old for a horse), and he is such a joy to be around. They all keep her company.....we were up to have Easter with her in northern PA. They all go too soon regardless of age though.
