That was it!! ...... and what other band put to shame a whining, punk liberal in their lyrics??

This site is completely free and there are no costs. Please enjoy and provide feedback.Ronnie loved his Jack Daniels but drugs and guns scared him.I was just thinking of that song, what great guitar riffs!!!
Coming Home. Never released while Ronnie was alive. Recorded at Muscle Shoals in 1971. Ricky Medlocke played the drums. He was also the guitarist and singer from Blackfoot. The Skynyrd song Curtis Loew was written about Medlockes dad, Shorty. My favorite non-hit was "Needle and the Spoon"
Yeah, nothing like running out of gas in a plane Aerosmith refused to fly in. Saw an old interview where the plane was ready for takeoff and was running (APU or engines, wasn’t specific) for climate control and Artemis Pyle was an hour and a half late and that may have been the straw that broke the camels back. Although the pilots knew one engine had problems and the fuel gauges were inoperable and they were checking fuel levels with a yardstick.Have you noticed there isn't a single live video of "Simple Man ?"
What an awesome song about a Mom's advice and a crowd favorite.
What I will never understand about the plane crash : why didn't the pilots head straight for a 2 lane road ?
Why ditch in a field ?
Maybe pilots are trained to not endanger traffic , but they were out in the countryside.
Ditching in a field , they were very lucky only 4 people died.
I was at that reunion show in Tn, didn't Charlie Daniels put it together?I’ve been a huge Skynyrd fan since the early 70s. Spent my paper route profits on their vinyl, which I still have. Went to see the Rossington Collin’s band and could have polished Allen’s tennis shoes as I was at the stage.also went to the reunion tour in 87, although without Ronnie it wasn’t the same. Johnny looked like a deer in headlights on stage.
When my wife came to live here, she found a huge sealed bag in my closet. Every concert I’ve ever been to I bought a tee shirt, never wore or washed any of them as that wasn’t what I dressed like. They’re still all sealed up in the top of the closet all these years later although she really has her eyes set on my Stones tee shirt from the mid 80s. lol
Trying to "reunite" a band that lost both lead singer/songwriters seemed pointless to me.I was at that reunion show in Tn, didn't Charlie Daniels put it together?
Gary Rossington even said they were just a cover band after they got back together but I don't know what year he said that inTrying to "reunite" a band that lost both lead singer/songwriters seemed pointless to me.
My dad always sat in the back of airplanes ; if those old prop planes crashed , usually the only survivors were in the tail section.
Why Steve Gaines and Ronnie Van Zant were in the front of the plane ? There must have been no one there with a lick of sense to advise them.
I've never watched or liked the current Lynyrd Skynyrd.
True. What PO's me about Gene's story is he spent precious time cussing out the pilots for their mistake. He had 2-3 minutes after the engines stopped to do something.Ronnie had taken 2 sleeping pills just before takeoff and was passed out on the floor until Gene picked him up and strapped him to the seat/couch.
I'd forgotten that "My Favorite Martian" was in this (Spiccoli's teacher)1960 Invicta, what a period in time.....and now I need to watch fast times one more time.
