So sorry for your loss! Our little buddies are a true gift that makes life better! I lost my 14 year old Basset Hound Bailey right before Christmas in 2015. Had a Vet come to the house and she handled everything. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done! Her ashes are in a glazed clay piece of pottery with her name and DOB & DOD stamped on the side. She’s gonna be buried with me when my time comes! I truly know how you feel! 🙏

I am going to build a decorative garden and bury all of the urns I have, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

That's a special pup you had there. He had a great home, remember him well.
The picture I posted is the last time we really played in the yard before he got sick, he loved his tennis balls.

We have another dog, Willow. She is a 13 year old 85 lb brindle mix "Boxador" with a bit of Pit. She is not very active, very overweight, but a very sweet girl to people she knows. Unfortunately with her being the age she is we will be going through it again, I think within the next couple of years.

Yup, I buried my first dog “Bootser” who grew up with me from age 2 or 3....he died on my 16th birthday, the first time I could legally drive alone in my ‘55 Chevy to high school when growing up in Florida. That’s a day I will always remember. We are truly blessed with our 4-legged buddies! 🐕❤️

Dogs grieve too. My big girl and little buddy lived together for many years, both were good friends. In the past Willow (in the picture) would not hesitate to take Trevor's bed. The vet recommended we keep his stuff in place. Ever since he left us she will walk over, sniff his bed and lay next to it, will not get on it. She will also not go to the edge of the yard, stays in a certain area because it was HIS yard.

I came home yesterday to a poopy mess on the floor, reading up it could be a sign of change and stress in the house.

She and I haven't played in a long time, her buddy was her playmate. I found myself in a tug of war match and play time with her the other day. We feel she is lonely and upset he is gone. I am right there with her, I miss the little guy.

Sorry for your loss.
It’s always sad when you lose a pet.
Teddy passed away last year and we swore we would never get another pet.
Fast forward to last week and my wife got this little guy.

I tried to get her to get a pet rock but she got him instead.
She treats him like one of the grandkids.

My wife stopped by the vet to get Trevor's Urn and talked to them about Willow having an upset stomach. They all think Willow misses her little buddy causing the stomach issues and to give her pumpkin and plain yogurt to try to ease things.
