71 Upper/Lower Cowl Replacement Question

I am looking to change out my upper/lower cowl section.
The reproduction cowl is different than the original where the bottom of the windshield sits.
In the pics below the original cowl, has a rolled lip in places that the defroster ducts attatch to.
In the pic of the new cowl there is no rolled lip, just flat metal. How does the defroster duct attatch to the new piece? Am i missing something?
For the ones who have done this before what did you do?
Any and all comments welcomes. Hope the pics are clear enough

Hard to see from the side view on the new cowl, but it appears to me you may have to cut it to make it identical.

A top pic of the new cowl would be good.

I will get a top pic tomorrow.
I did a rough measure and it seemed that there was not enough metal to cut and roll it like original.
At first i thought i was missing a piece or something but i dont think so. I can add metal if need be, was wondering what others have. done

Who did you buy it from?

I was going to say the same as Kevin. if it cannot be cut or that lip bent down, Id weld a strip of metal where that bend is.
