Flashing a Rom onto a Pixel 6

I've long hated how google has their hands and access to everything in my phone, so I cleaned out my gmail account, all contacts, and did a graceful exit. Now, what to do with a google pixel 6 that is wholly based on everything google.... simple, load GraphineOS on it and decouple google from any and all of my private information. So, I bought a refurbished unlocked google pixel 6 with 256 gig of storage and will unlock the bootloader and load GraphineOS on it, load my info and email, transfer my text messages and then move my sim card to the refurbished phone.

The nice thing about GraphineOS it puts all google apps in a sandbox and it can't access personal info or location unless you specifically give it permissions..... I need that. I must have control over my privacy.

I'll let you know how it goes......

I hate google having my personal information and everything I do in their records, so I was flashing the phone with another operating system that sandboxed all google shit.... in other words, a working phone and google had no access to any of it.

Bad part is the refurbished phone I bought was still locked (OEM Locked), so it's going back tomorrow.

Where did you buy it?

I sent the other Pixel 6 back today and I just flashed my current phone with GrapheneOS.... just the way I like it, no bloat, and no extra shit I don't use. Utilitarian, just like I wanted, and NO GOOGLE shit. I like it so far.

Bought a Pixel 8 and flashed it with GrapheneOS..... considerable difference in speed. Bought a second Pixel 8 for Lisa and I'll flash it for her and she can load it up with what she wants. She'll have google stuff, but at least it'll be sandboxed. I have no google stuff on my Pixel 8 and couldn't be happier....
