Is it just me or has Amazon gotten more suck lately? What value is Prime if it takes a week to get orders?
Maybe Amazon will implode on itself.

This site is completely free and there are no costs. Please enjoy and provide feedback.I placed an order on Monday, says it will delivered on Sunday. It got better for us and we were getting stuff within 1 day or so when amazon delivery took over, but now it's taking 3 or 4 days........
I never buy the cheapest stuff, just something in me says it will go bad very quickly, maybe I am just dumb.I agree they promise delivery quicker than they actually deliver.
But it seems the Auto Parts stores are conspiring to rob the little guy.
I needed two short 8" long brake hoses for a 2002 Camaro rearend.
$8.50 each on RockAuto but with shipping/tax they were closer to $40.
Every auto parts around here wanted $33 each ! $75 including tax.
I got them on Amazon for $12 each + tax
I usually get things in 2-4 days.
It's an 8" brake line. What do you think that's worth ? $32 ?I never buy the cheapest stuff, just something in me says it will go bad very quickly, maybe I am just dumb.
It de[pends on what I am buying. With Prime being $130+ a year now that has to be considered into the cost. If you strategically buy at RockAuto shipping is ok, if the part is wrong or not needed, returns are a hassle. It's an 8" brake line. What do you think that's worth ? $32 ?
Amazon is always higher than RockAuto. It's the shipping that kills RockAuto
I was telling my wife last night that I haven’t seen an Amazon delivery truck in 3-4 weeks. Use to see one everyday sometimes twice a day and I’m on a dead end road.Oh, I understand fully and I am not immune to buying Amazon stuff. Their delivery time is what ticks me off now, rarely do I see a truck delivering in my area now, I think they are outsourcing it to other carriers.
The shipping time isn't bad it's their slow processing till it's shipped that sucks. No Amazon trucks up here UPS Fed Ex or USPS.Oh, I understand fully and I am not immune to buying Amazon stuff. UPS only delivers Tuesday & Thursday on rural routes here. Fed Ex is usually great. USPS is currently looking for my valve body that was supposed to be delivered Wednesday morning, it made it to the post office, they just can’t seem to find it. Figures. The shipping time isn't bad it's their slow processing till it's shipped that sucks. No Amazon trucks up here UPS Fed Ex or USPS.
Ya USPS is a clusterfuck where ever you are. Our normal route drive was off sick for about a week 3-4 months ago no back up so they had a USPS employee delivering about every 3rd day or so.UPS only delivers Tuesday & Thursday on rural routes here. Made an order on Monday, supposed to be delivered today, Sunday, went to the wrong post office in another county, I bet it doesn't get here till Tuesday.
My EBay turbo 499 valve body went from the main hub in Raleigh to Moncure post office to New Hill and back to Raleigh and back to Moncure in a 4 day period. Crazy that they can’t get anything right anymore, reckon they are overwhelmed with Amazon deliveries these days.Made an order on Monday, supposed to be delivered today, Sunday, went to the wrong post office in another county, I bet it doesn't get here till Tuesday.
Talking to other people, they are also done with Amazon, getting extra shipping fees to have items delivered in the once promised 2 day window. Wal-Mart seems to be the go to company now for orders and deliveries, prices are cheaper and if a membership is chosen, also cheaper.
As for cheap China auto parts, e-Bay is still a player and cheaper than Amazon.
I agree, I like the middle of the road pricing unless its an expensive part on sale for a mid priced itemI never buy the cheapest stuff, just something in me says it will go bad very quickly, maybe I am just dumb.
