There's a few of us here that are fans ? John and Jerry ? If not this will die fast. LOL
Post what's happening to your teams that you care about.

Mine are the Tennessee Volunteers and any NFL team that has a Tenn Vol former player doing well.

Tennessee may be the only SEC team starting a freshman QB. Faison Brandon might turn out to be something special.
6'-4" tall, 225 lbs of solid muscle and fast. A rocket of an arm. Lost one game in high school with 2 state championships.

Our first game is a patsy but Georgia Tech is #2. Hopefully we'll be ready

Basing it nothing but size, a large physique just fairs better at the end of the season. When Herbert was getting tossed around in Sheldon HS, he just bounced back up. Same at Oregon, and really any other qb with the Chargers' lack of line would be sidelined.
Brandon's 225lb is about 10 below JH.
A little side shift from your points, but I've seen too many college players fall flat in the NFL due to that issue.

It definitely helps to be big and tall.
Andrew Luck looked awesome coming out of college and had plenty of great moments , but had too many leg/foot injuries.
Peyton Manning couldn't run but was 6'-6". Peyton works with any Tennessee QB that asks for help.
Our backup, 6'-6" skinny George MacIntyre is good and will get some playing time too.
All 4 of Tennessee's previous QB's are playing in the NFL : Josh Dobbs, Joe Milton, Hendon Hooker and Joey Aguilar.

It's kickoff time in tennessee !
We play a "scrimmage" today at 2:30 against Furman.
Some schools actually scheduled a real challenge.
LSU - Clemson at 7 pm might be good. No idea if Clemson has anything but they usually are pretty good.

UNC and MC State don’t play today, must be Septeenth, Duke plays Tulane at 3:30. Those are our 3 local teams all within 35 minutes of here.
Oldest daughter graduated UNC-Chapel Hill and youngest daughter graduated NC State.

My dad moved to High Point when he remarried later in life so I know that area well.
Played golf a lot in Greensboro and High Point. :)

I just heard Louisville is supposed to be good and they play Ole Miss tonight.
Critical game for both teams.

I frequented the NC State games when I was a teenager, Carter Stadium was only 3/8 mile from my parents house (at the time) and I worked for Manpower on Sundays cleaning up the stadium afterwards. Got a check in the mail on Thursday for $42, quite a decent sum of money for a 13-16 year old back then. Enjoyed the job for those 3 years, pumped gas at Sunoco 5 days a week and had 2 paper routes. Dang I was busy.

Corruption on display : the refs put one more second on the clock after time expired.
This gave Michigan one more attempt at a Hail Mary.
And they connected and beat Western Michigan , a 28 point underdog !

I saw the reviews of that and listened to the full explanation. There was 1 second on the stadium clock when the ball was touched by the defensive player who jumped from out of bounds. That moment he touched the ball, stopped the clock. The broadcast clock showed time had expired. That leaves at least a 1 second difference in stadium clock vs broadcast tv clock. That needs to be explained because the clocks are sinched from the start and sinched throughout the game via strobe......that technology needs a bit of explaining also.

WHAT???!!! I watched that last night and shut it off when they missed the throw in the end zone and the clock was at 0:00!!! WTF?!!

Ahhh, the original Johnny Football, not the snot nosed punk that assumed that title and was popularized by the media and proven unworthy by his merits.

Off to a great start :
Ole Miss squeaks by an excellent Louisville team on a last second field goal. The Louisville qb had transferred from Ohio State and is really good.
Never got a chance to play at OSU.

SMU beats Florida State on a last second field goal. And SMU had 4 turnovers !
Florida State coach is toast
