I met up with Derek69SS, his wife Jenna and son Cale yesterday for lunch, They are Houston to drop Cale off to start school here. We had a great time and talked so long that Jenna suggested we ask for menus again and order dinner!

Met for lunch at noon, and parted ways around 5:00!

We had a great time, and Momma is resting a little easier knowing we have someone we trust close by as the first-born took a big step out of the nest and landed 1,150 miles from home!

Well, we made it home and Momma is an emotional wreck... it might take a while to adjust to things being a little quieter here.

Yes, he is.

We just took our oldest daughter to college in Upstate NY. It’s an adjustment and makes us very nervous.

As parents, the first one leaving is always the hardest, but Lisa and I fingered if we did our job right the kids had a good base to start from and hopefully they make the right choices..... it does get easier as each one leaves though.

It will be ok. Now when he kids come to visit we appreciate the peace and quiet when they leave.
