After dealing with my brother's estate, and seeing Mom's on the horizon, I've been cleaning house myself. I can recognize a sincere buyer, who actually needs the stuff, but most are just feeling me out.
I'm making progress, but it takes far too much time than it should.

Exactly what I've been doing.... the inevitable is coming and I don't want to leave a mess for my family to deal with..... my brother on the other hand has a hoarding problem.... and guess who he named executor of his estate? Yep, moi. How'd I get so lucky?

I had to do dad’s estate, help with my sisters estate and guide my oldest daughter thru my ex-wife’s estate. They all passed within 60 days of each other in 2024, along with 4 more family members within 6 more months. Don’t ever want to have to deal with those types of things again, but I’ll have to as mom is in her upper 80s but looks 60 and has more energy than I do.

My kids get them too because they are all on my phone plan and their phones are in my name (even though Lisa changed all the names on the phones). Yet another thing that pisses me off.
