Yikes OCS

That is AWESOME!!!!

Been a PICNIC day for me.

Almost every day is like that for me. I've had a user from Conviva that has been having issues with a virtual I created, corporate asked me to spin another one up because there are issues with that virtual, so I did, and the same issues persist. Conviva corporate calls me and asks what the problem might be, and I told them you might want to find another employee because she has no idea what she's doing, and I can confirm it's a PICNIC because I observed what she was doing.

They didn't like the answer, and I told them that I'd never lie or sugar coat the truth. They didn't like that either. Tough shit. Welcome to the real world.

I would have been told to be more careful with my words, I hate having to sugar coat crap.

Dealing with HP today on a server issue I had some jerk in India try to tell me a failed controller was an OS issue. I finally got a supervisor and controller card is on its way to be replaced. I normally do those but this is an Apollo server, damn thing it to compact. I will let the HP tech replace it, that way if he breaks something it is on him.

Last time I had an issue with an HP server (about 23 years ago when I stopped dealing with them), I had a backplane issue on the raid that was causing sporadic data issues, I called them up, they said they'd send a tech out in a couple of days (client was in Cleveland Ohio and I was onsite), and I told them that's not an option as this was a business critical server and it was only 1 month old. They insisted that their tech guy would have to diagnose it, and then I proceeded to tell them, if you must, but you're going to pay my wage now and my company is billing me out at $5k per day (was a true statement), and they relented and sent a new backplane overnight, and low and behold, the issue was resolved. They weren't using overseas help at the time, otherwise I'd have been majorly torqued.

This is the message on the OCS right now:

"We’re currently working to make things better, we’ll be back shortly.
The community is currently down for scheduled maintenance to update site functionality and improve community features.
You can read all about the new (and past) changes by going to Help > Release notes, once we're back online.
Thanks for your patience."

One could only hope that they are changing things for the better, but we all know that things will be worse.

Everyone's favorite crybaby is shitting his diapers again.

Just read some of that thread.....seems like he's making a wide swath of condemnations on some very knowledgeable folks. Butthurt describes him best, so predictable. He is a perfect example of anti-common sense in today's conversations.

He and Rich are the christ anointed L-79 experts, thou dost dare to question them? Augie has forgotten more about '68's that Dil Dini will ever know. He DOES have one hell of a car, but we all of know that there are few absolutes about these old cars. Since it doesn't match his narrative, Augie's survivor was most likely tampered with, but his basket case car could NEVER have been?
