Fall Camping Season

Fall is the best time to camp, cool nights and warmer days. We like Myrtle Beach State Park and mountain sites in the fall.

I bet that's nice, we put ours away for the winter. Leaves starting to turn down there?

Yes the wife was just talking about the next camping trip. She loves tent camping this time of year. Today was 73* and this week was projected to be mid 70's to low 80's.

We were supposed to go camping next weekend but had to change plans but still may get a trip in if I find a site open at another State park. Oct may be the only month I haven't camped since Dec last year.

I guess one could call our camping, not really camping but RVing. But it could be camping as long as I was hooked to water & electric.;)

That's the only way I camp. When my wife said she wanted to go camping I asked her "Camping? Like how? In a tent? No way! In a class A motorhome? Yep, I'm in. Long as I got a nice bed, AC and Heat, and my own bathroom, I'm good. So we bought one.

Sold it about 20 years ago when the kids were young and I was working stupid hours.

I did the tent camping for years in Scouts, wife went on a few trips and did not like it. She loves going now in her "Hilton on wheels".

Slept in a tent 2 or 3 times, slept under the stars on the ground 2 times, in the bed of a pickup fighting mosquitos 1 times too many.

We use the RV as a base. We travel to a place and site see. We also use it for Holiday get aways. Thanksgiving is fun in the camper at the beach. Publix has a great Thanksgiving dinner you can buy, heat the turkey in the oven and comes with all of the fixings.
We are flexible, if we can't go to the beach, we find another place. I can usually find a camping spot even on busy weekends. When you target destinations it gets tough.
