The Motorhome Tear Out and Build Begins

I think I remember you saying your son might join you? If so is there anything your doing that helps

Our son who lives at home (autistic) works odd hours for Winn Dixie (grocery chain), and my other son who lives local works full time and can't always come over to help as he works as much overtime as they let him (he's also taking his electrical journeymans test in 2 weeks, so I would rather he study) so I can't always count on anyone but myself to do things.

Sorry. I was wondering more about thing that would make traveling more comfortable for him/them.

Joseph (our autistic son) is good and he'll be fine as long as he's with us, but he has serious issues with time management, so Lisa and I keep him on the straight and narrow. He'll be going with us when we go on the road, so as long as he has his computer and cell phone to surf the web he's good.

We do have a couch that I bought seat belts for and he'll be sitting there when we travel. The minisplit A/C will be able to run when we are driving so everyone should be comfortable.

Things are looking good. Is there going to be any outdoor cooking equipment? 😋

Yep, a 2 burner Blackstone griddle, and a BBQ grill. Looking for full suspension slides, then I'll build a mount for both so they slide out from the side and can slide back in when done. Redoing all the gas pipe so we'll only need 2 connections.... 1 connection for the brand new on-demand 55k BTU water heater, and 1 for the slide out cooking setup. Based on my calculation for usage of LPG, the onboard 45 gallon tank should last about 6 to 7 months, but I'm also adding a 3 way valve so I can hook into a 20lb tank as well in case of any issues like running out until we get somewhere they can fill the main tank.

This place makes some good stuff. Just tow it behind.

Yeah, we'll be towing Lisa's Escape, so that's out, plus I'm not feeding an army when I'm on the road. Maybe when we buy the new property I'll get a big one for all the OC parties we'll have.
