I'm hoping you are an unregistered guest that has come here to explore the site as a possible fit for your interests. Besides cars and a pro-liberty point of view, let me give you another reason to consider transferring your interest here. It begins with a story.

As soon as the internet broke loose, let's call it +/-1995, like many hobbies, automotive forums began to develop. At that point a certain make and model dominated my interest and I joined a forum to pursue my interests. Since most people that had computers and internet access at that time were of some means, there were a bunch of good people. We joined the same clubs, became friends and went to events together. All the while the forum evolved and was sold to one of the largest commercial owner of automotive oriented internet sites. I invested 27 years of my life's passion in to that forum with nothing but my passion.

Along the way, the people that created and made the forum initially dropped off and it was continually taken over by moderators and administrators who did not care for the membership. Their job was to protect the forum commercially. This meant that the banter of grown people became more and more moderated. Those people of means and discretion were systemically run off.

After 27 years, a part of the forum that was not car related was taken offline. I had thousands of posts there that I have now lost access to - the legacy of the post. This forum has been setup as a non-profit and is run by a team of people that are dedicated not only to the hobby, but each other. If you are looking for that type of forum, I don't care what kind of car you have (I no longer have a Chevelle), please consider joining.

Welcome!

My experience mirrors your exactly, I was TC Gold Member #32 and I think you were #31. I left work early to go home and get on the computer to join when they announced there would only be 201 gold memberships. After all this time, I feel as though something has been stolen from me.
I have great hopes for this forum going forward.
