Anyone have any gripes or praise? I used to have 2 different Harbor Freight ones, they are always the cheapest and never let me down. I sold my last one before I moved and now I need a new one. I do not mind spending the extra that say a Torin or other brands charge but is it really worth it?

Looks exact. Cant say about the steel and welds. If you are worried about the cost, Id go for the Pittsburg. I personally would NOT buy the extra warrantee. The only thing to change out if went bad would be the cylinder. Just a quick check and I'm seeing $83.00 for the one on the Big red.

Similar to the one I have. I bought it about 35 yrs. ago at one of those fly by night deals the come around.

I was thinking the other day about getting an air ram for mine and run it off the air compressor. Im not getting any younger !

I wish it had more uses. I’ve had an engine hoist for Prob 15 years and probably only used it 4 times for its intended use

Used it once to move my 80 gallon compressor by myself because it’s so too heavy and I was afraid I’d tip it over.

Also used it once when I had to pull up a big fence post and it was hard digging. Having the hoist pull up on the post made it easier to extract.

I have used mine for fence posts too, Moving it in the yard is a PITA.

Definitley one of those things that is super nice when you have it but then it takes up plenty of room, even when folded. I have moved a couple times and each time I always sold it. I need to find a neighbor that has one lol!

yep, that is the one I posted above. After searching around for a while that seems to be the best deal out there.

Ive had the same Torin Big Red Engine Hoist forever. I use it to change mower blades as well.

That`s the one I have but, it has an air cylinder. Had for about 12-15 years now.
The only thing I have a problem with is the front wheels swivel.
My other one (made in the USA) I `ve had for about 25 years now, doesn't swivel.
I use them every day at work.
