what to do with engine and trans?

Just FYI I confirmed that the Holley Oil pans are made in China.....
So ? Almost everything is. They are very high quality.
All rotating assemblies are made over there. All sheet metal.
We do make tires because it costs so much to ship them :)
Get the latest 302-3 pan because it clears a stroker crank

Point being, there is another on the market, probbably others too that are almost half the price, if they work then there is money to be saved.

Also, the place I plan to get the engine and trans mounts from paired up with Moroso to make a pretty stout pan. it is more than Holley but nicer in my opinion, not sure where Moroso makes them...

Keep in mind some of the cheaper pans that may or may not fit an A body may require a remote oil filter and the price may be a wash.

yea for sure, this is the struggle I always have. Pay less for potential issues or pay more for hopefully none. The only problem is I have paid more in the past and still had issues o_O

I bought everything from Holley because I didn't want to have fitment issues. Motor mounts, headers and oil pan. Also the FEAD kit
I definitely get that too!

So far I have called this place a lot, they are super nice, I have been super annoying as usual with questions and they have been very nice and welcoming. I decided I am going to go with them for the engine mounts, trans cross member and headers. Once I get all that stuff I am still going to do my build thread so we will see how it all comes together

Oh and since I am running manual brakes and no-PS I decided to go with the lsbrackets alternator only bracket. I like how it is low and out of the way for the most part.

:)

If your going with 4l60 don’t forget the proper torque converter, slip yoke and driveshaft. Do you have all the sensors, injectors, coils? That will add up quick.
That moroso pan you listed will hang below the cross member.

I ended up going with a knock off holley 302-2 and I am planning to keep the factory converter that came with the 4l60e. Stock injectors and coils, sensors too. I did get the holley terminator x max.
