engine stand?

overpaid

The 2k pound one is not in stock at my local harbor freights, so I got to doing some research and came across this one. It got some good reviews with the hand crank rotate. I remember my last one was a Torin and it was okay but when the engine was on it, not easy to rotate and it looked like it was going to snap. Any thoughts?

I have the HF 1 ton and when I was assembling it, I put alight coat of grease inside the sleeve and that made it leagues easier to spin. I lifted my other block off that stand and did the same and it was good.

I do like the gearbox model and not having to use brute force to spin it though.

Yea the one review said he could literally turn the engine over with a finger, not sure how much truth there is to that but i'd imagine it it far less effort that the other ones. Good point on the grease too!

I’ve got a nice hand built one I’m done with. Guy that made it built hot rod frames for a living. It’s built like a tank but doesn’t collapse. So I can’t ship it. But if you’re around Abilene TX I can sell it rather cheap.

Man yea those are the best, thanks for the offer but I don't plan on being around there unfortunately

Sunex seems like a very good brand, I didn't know HD sold those, LS are pretty light weight what 500 lbs fully dressed?

Yea same here. I noticed when I search for things on their website they seem to have a wide variety of choices these days, a lot of which they do not stock in store but will ship to store or home at no extra cost.
