Fiberglass hood?

I think it's a great idea, and a break from ordinary. I've had this discussion far too often of late, that I'm truly getting bored with over the top restorations and we're lacking personality in our hobby. That's what started hotrodding.
IDK, I almost never see a classic chevy unless I'm at a car show.

I love a 66 Super Sport hood. It would look great on an El Camino. I would do that. No fiberglass hood for me !

I want my car to look totally original. But an experienced observer will notice the 17" wheels.
But he won't see the greatly improved suspension, the dana 60 rear, the TKX 5 speed, and 489 BBC with aluminum heads.
He might notice the 4 wheel disc brakes.

One thing I will never get ; chevys had great interiors. When you install a custom interior , I hope you plan on keeping the car.

Nothing kills the value of a classic chevy more than a custom interior.

You can make your own with ratchet straps but you need rafters above to hook them to, rig something up overhead and up up and out of your way 😁
