Price Reduced $108,000!!! And it says Good Price!

I cant make up my mind if its a collector (22yr old) AND because it has a low mile 7.3? It does look immaculate as described. But $50K for a used non collector truck at 22yrs old.

Maybe its just me and I'm a tightwad. I would have expected 25k max as well.

No truck is worth that, they get it, but that means nothing to me. Just tells me it's an inflated market and there's going to be a lot of regret in a few years.

I've mentioned this before.
My bet is that when the "Chip Shortage" ends all those last years models get scrapped.
To sell them as new will be a headache for the manufacturers as they WILL have higher than normal warranty claimes.
To sell them at a discount as they are not the current year model, means derailing the current "Tight supply" gravy train.
So I expect Bidet and his Union buddies to declare another "Too big to fail" crises.
All the cars and trucks that are not current model year get scrapped, the manufacturers get a write off for full cost or more.
WE get yet another tax increase and even greater inflation to cover it all.
Prices for new ICE cars and trucks remain astronomical, EV's are pushed as the answer.
Of course without massive subsidies EV's are not affordable either.
They say Stalin made the trains run on time, Bidet wants to push us all into them.

A lot of those are already sold.
Bigger question is whether buyers will back out once the market drops and stuff isn't selling over MSRP anymore.

Just ordered a 2022 Jeep for my wife last week. We did get a employee discount (my brother works at Toledo Jeep) msrp was 48880 we got it for 44796. We sold her 229k Toyota FJ we purchased that in 2014 with 90k miles for 16k. The Toyota dealer paid us good money (10k didn’t want the hassle of people wanting just to drive it. It’s on the lot for 14k.
Jeeps hold their value well, only reason I purchased a new one. A Ford truck doesn’t hold it’s value it’ll lose over half that in 5 years.

I would think they'd drop as well. Yet as I posted above the older ones are selling very well. My buddy recently sold his 2002 7.3 F250 for $28K with almost 280K mi. Rebuild Trans with aftermarket fuel and oil system, and aftermarket Turbo. Was in almost new condition. I'd say he got close back what he paid for it new.

I'm still looking for a 2000-2003 7.3 non 4wd Excursion.

Better think about taking a second mortgage on your house for that one..... not only are they very hard to come by, but if one goes up for sale, it'd be cheaper to buy a house.

Here's an example (although this is 4x4)

My Ex was originally from Miami, I did not want a 4WD. the 2003 7.3L is the Holy Grail, 2WDs don't sell for as much as a 4x4. Any Northern Ex of that age will be rusty, best to keep looking in the South.
