1966 LS swap

Something else worth noting about the speed engineering headers, not sure if the others are the same way but the drivers side is shorter than the passengers side.....the end position of the collectors.

It’s been a while since an update. I finally finished the exhaust from headers to tail pipes. I had to do some cutting welding to get the h pipe I had to work but it looks great! I connected my battery today, I made new cables, connected the started and actually cranked the engine (just to make sure it worked with the factory wiring).

I used the lokar rod kit to connect the column shift to the transmission. Looks and feels great!

This weekend I’m hoping to wire the Holley and if my radiator comes I should be able to start the car, we will see!

Champion radiator fits and looks great! I’m using a made in USA shroud with a cold case fan.

PSI bracket and Chevy pedal fits and looks great.

Cheap Amazon wires, JDM speed, fit great we will see How they run.

im going to have to dent the drivers side primary in the one spot you can see marked in white to get some breathing room for the one plug wire.

It’s alive!! I just fired it up and confirmed sensors. My fan is not wired so I didn’t let it run long but tomorrow I will clean up and finish wiring. It won’t let me post the video here though :(

Outstanding! Congrats!

You need to post on youtube, then share that link.

OUTSTANDING ! Congratulations ! I love the excitement when everything starts to come together after hard work. I cant wait to see/hear a video of the the car running and moving !

Thank you! I agree the excitemnet was through the roof last night so today I want to take a step back and just check everything again, pull it outside, let it idle, double check leaks and temps and then hopefully take a ride!

I think I'm going to concentrate on getting my 6.0L - 68 LS Camaro going once my solar is up and running ! You got me fired up......
The Chevelle will have to wait a little longer.

Nice! Glad I could motivate haha! So I have not taken it for a ride yet but really other than the debacle with the headers and oil pan (the cheap parts I skimped on) this was an awesome experience. Even with those issues it was not that bad to be honest. After I shake it down I will get some awesome final pics and post that along with a complete price list of what it all cost me.

I just romped around town and no issues to report. For now I can cautiously say the LS swap is compete! Thanks for all the support and help! I will still post up a parts list and prices for everything I used just for reference.
