I Can Tear Crap Up

Lately everything is breaking. On my tombstone it should read "He Fixed Stuff"

Lisa has always joked that she'd put "McGyver's Brother rests here" on my tombstone, but I just tell her to bury me face down so everyone can kiss my ass as the drop me in the ground, but for some reason she won't do it.....

Finish mower is on jack stands in the garage, soaking bolts with PB Blaster. It will be an evening project as time allows.

The Cub Cadet riding mower cut about 5 acres this weekend, it was able to finish the field that the finish mower broke in. Hopefully now that the field grass is low I will be able to maintain it.

I am getting the deck apart, broke 3 rusty bolts and 1 puller trying to get a pressed on spindle pulley off. The deck is broken around 2 spindles, will post pics later.

I am going to tear down the whole thing and have what ever I can blasted. I am thinking of painting it the same color blue and white as the tractor.

That should take about 1 hour to cut that out, fab a new piece and weld it back in, or he can just put a plate over the top of it, but I'd cut it out and replace the steel.

If he has a plasma cutter, it'll take less time.

I am going to have him do all 3 spindles

Getting there...

The deck was repaired underneath and reinforced with steel plate. I am painting it to match the tractor, doesn't need to be pretty, just functional.

Bout time you finished that thing.... I figured you were a dairy farmer the way you've been milking it..... ;)

Well, it mowed the yard and broke the belt. The belt was a cheap replacement and IMO was about 1-2 inches short. The belt path requires twists. I have ordered a new belt from my Woods Implement dealer.
