It never RUST in CA? 69 EC SS project on CL, $3,000

Missing a lot of parts and interior needs everything new. Looks like a $10K job to get driveable depending on engine and transmission.

Ca rust is nasty, at least on the coastline. I bought a very similar condition '67 396 elky last summer for much less.....and it still wasn't worth it, but I'm weak.

Mine is just a "Custom" and was running when I bought it.
Floors are great but I am still working on rust repair to the rear quarters.
With prices of nice cars being nuts I have no idea of current project car values.
Just seemed cheap enough if a true SS that someone might be interested.
Been for sale for a while so may take less?

It's likely a true SS, but it's premium only lies in the desirable parts. That 12 bolt is worth $1000, brakes $300, console if nice, $300, buckets, if good bones, $600, column $100, radiator, if usable, $100, running sbc $500, dash plaque and turbo 400 kickdown, another $100, and the rest would be a wash to cover the headache. And that's the price, so no matter how you break it down, it's not worth it. It'll likely sell to one of us who certainly don't need it, sit, and be resold for the same money to another on of us, that doesn't need it.
