Valve lash adjustment, hydraulic lifters "Best" method?

"Best" method for setting SBC Valve lash?

Well, I finally got the cam timing checked successfully.
I know this is supposed to be simple but the way my degree wheel is marked combined with my eyes and poor access to read it kept throwing me off.
In the end it turned out that "Strait up" was correct.
Also had an issue with the dial indicator, fixed by making my own mount.
Now I will finally be able to set pre-load and button it up. :)

Okay, valves are adjusted.
I used the No. 3 option. I used No. 1 last time and lost that cam.
I've never really been a big fan of hydraulic lifters and rockers centered over the valve by pushrod alignment. These are Dart made heads, but each of them has a rocker that is not as well centered as I would like at the same location.
My 327 is getting solids, and probably shaft rockers despite the cost.
In the morning I will try to fix an oil seep at the sending unit.
Then I may finally button this up.
