I finally Obtained a set of Old School Car Speakers MindBlowers

I had Jensen Triaxials in my Bronze Chevelle with a Pioneer Supertuner II years ago in high school, then I threw a cheap amp on it with an Audiovox antenna booster. The wiring was fairly simple.

It was definitely an upgrade to my Cheap Audiovox FM converter.

These are not normal speakers, they use a push pull principal..
Here is the schematic of the speaker (yes, it is a fully active speaker, it requires 12V!)

Please note C1 in the schematic. It is most likely dead and will need replacement. The D45 series transistors were made by Delco originally and were really excellent for their time.

So on the wires I have shown..for the front control and the speaker wire also..can you tell me the color coded connections going specifically to where?.. Please..

what is the model number? I hope finding it will be easier than the speakers..Wonder where I can find a re cone kit for the speakers?
I will have to look at the back for the model number. I used to re-foam speakers and they never turned out very well. Now I just buy speakers from parts express, great speaker for cheap. When my Marantz 12" woofers foam went bye bye I bought a pair of speakers from them for $32 a pair, have to tell you they sound better than the originals by far and seem to take more power also.

Not sure what you paid for these but after rebuilding them I'm sure it will be a fair amount. Hopefully its worth it. My $50 Pyle speakers sound great. Good luck.

The whole hunt for the MindBlowers..wasn't for power/or quality..Mostley to find something that is very hard to find..If not impossible..to go into my 1972 Chevelle period correct equipment

How would anyone know if a speaker is "period correct?"

When I was a teen the 1972 Chevelle as well as other Muscle cars..most of them had these types of speakers..When I said period correct..not 1972 but speakers you might have had IF you had a car like this in the 1980'S
