Car Abuse and Neglect

I am so guilty of car abuse, I haven't done anything with them in a couple of weeks except replace the wiper blades on the Durango, add air to a tire on the Mercedes and washer fluid.

The Mercedes is getting a rotate/balance and tire repair tomorrow. Excursion gets a rotate and balance on Saturday.

With all the vehicles you have to maintain, it's bound to get a little neglected from time to time.

My junk is all run hard and poorly maintained... Too damn many cars, but my oldest son is getting really good at helping. :)
I just know if you don't keep up on the stuff, it comes back to bite you.

Stupid stuff happens. Going into a CVS parking lot in the Red Fusion the dip was sharp and when it hit the right front Inner fender and underbody cover got damaged, need to order that. Mercedes needs and oil change. Excursion gets an oil change this week or next. Green Fusion getting close for an oil change.

The good thing is I rarely find the need to go to the Pick and Pull, no parts I just have to have. Pick and Pulls are good for older cars, but not for anything made within the past 10 years.

Oh well, with the house/yard/garden/lawn stuff and along with everything else, it keeps me busy.

And out of bars and getting in trouble....

This time of year the critters are on the move, including mice. I saw one in my garage last week, brazen little sucker, out running around where I can see it. Anyway, Decon mouse poison works wonders.

I went to my car hauler where the Bronze Chevelle is parked and found another mouse running around. Well, I store feed in there so I pulled all of the feed out and poisoned him too. I was worried about the car so last night I got in her and no smell or mouse remnants. I fired her up, she has been sitting in there for 4-5 months. After a little cranking, fuel got to the bowl and that inexpensive non ethanol gas from last year filled the bowl and she fired up and purred. I did find a heater hose leaking at the block but thankfully no mice. She needs a bath and a good drive. I put her back in the trailer, I now have it on the list.
