I have heard people using oil instead of grease. IDK, Red and Tacky hasn't failed ne yet.
Sam's Club has nice gel foam mattresses in 12" and 13". They stock the 12"The one I have now is from Amazon it's about 10 inches. It's OK for me but not my wife.

I'm putting a standard size queen in it.RVs have strange size beds.
I want to think mine has a short queen, I cannot go any larger as it is in the bedroom slide and the current mattress touches the dresser when the slide is retracted.I'm putting a standard size queen in it.
We had a Puma bunkhouse with the same thing for the lower bunk. We only kept that camper for a little over a year.I had a B motorhome had a bed with the corner cut off so you could open the bathroom door.View attachment 4857
