Something BIG is About to Happen to General Motors

Interesting. Makes you wonder why they are sitting on such a large inventory and spending so much money holding them. If dealers are sitting on Inventory, why not drop the price to sell them if they are not selling. And more than 30 different models in the next 8years. and they want to full electric 13 yrs in Horrible business plan when they don't share platforms and engines. I'm not an EV guy but I liked how they compared the gm business model to Tesla. Also about the fact mining for battery materials is limited and cant meet current supply demands. gm only sold x1 Hummer in 2021 and x99 so far in 2022

Other thing I noticed was the Hydrogen fuel cell market. Makes me feel better in my portfolio to hear this as more and more discussions are being had on the lack of electric infrastructure and battery material for EV.

I'm glad I don't own gm stock.

Interesting.

I wonder if the poorest people in places like the US can see what’s going to hit them in the face soon. Swap over to all EV, costing $60k+ and then the inevitable ban on IC cars?

But I think GM is hoarding cars hoping to put additional upward pressure on prices. That could backfire spectacularly.

That was my initial thought as well, but I also believe that was spurred by low sales and they planned to capitalize on it. I hope it backfires on them. Piss poor business in my opinion. Like Mike mentioned, selling those vehicles and getting some money at less of a profit instead of sitting on inventory is a prudent move.

I hope GM goes belly up after the way they treated customers and employees over the las 2 decades. F-them I will never buy a new GM car or truck again. The new GM with Mary the bead counter has ruined GM forever.

This narrator is vastly overrating "The EV Revolution".
Not going to happen nearly so quickly as the zealots keep claiming, if ever.
There are many good reasons why EV sales tapered away to nothing in the 1800's and the basics have not really changed.
Companies that rush into EV production too heavily will go the ways of Lea Francis, Wartburg, Baker, DeWitt, etc.
