My buddy wanted a new Q-jet replacement carburetor and I suggested a new 650 6210 Holley. Holy crap $718 for one now from Holley. Hell the last new one I bought was like $99 on sale. I guess times have changed a bit. I just know Biden has something to do with this, lol. Looks like he will need to rebuild his Q-jet after all.

I would have never of thought a std q going for that price. Sure a race prep 800 plus CFM. But not a 6210.

Works like thisd... If you want it or need it you can dick around or simply bite the bullet and have exacrtly what you want NOW. Performance parts are stupid in cost and it's tough to jutify spending money on a dying hobby but you can milk it for all it's worth and be done. The hard part is finding a car you like and building it your own way. Went to a car show this afternoon and there are many many also ran drivers but damned few well thought out builds. there is a huge difference there. Example might be that my car could use nsome touch up
in a few spots but it will safely get you down the street and down the track in rapid fashion. You simply have to know what exactly you want when making that purchase. I for one, do not want a brand new 66 Chevelle SS. That would be boring. Ownership intent I suppose.

I'm fortunate to have stashed a few holleys over the years so no immediate need....but I was on the tech line for my antiquated projection mpi unit and the tech suggested upgrading to a modern pcm, larger injectors, and switch over to a msd ignition....all that for a cool $2k. I'll make this unit work thank you. After doing a little research, the injectors are rated for rear wheel hp, not gross, so he wasn't the source of wisdom anyway.

Was at the swap meet last Sunday and scored a 6213 800 Spreadbore in super nice cond. for $5 it even has the performance center hung float bowls. I couldn't pass on that.

It's $425 refurbed from Holley. Click on the image and tell them to notify when it's in stock.
I got a new 850 double pumper for $400 this way.
