Someone posted a thread about a Predator carburetor and if you even have a 1/2 brain you could see the beauty of this ancient carburetor. Now I know people dis on these all the time but I have several and they work great especially for bracket racing. So here's 66rat's idea of what to do. Wonder if he does this with Holley's too, LOL. I'd go over there and pick on him for that statement but the powers that be might get butthurt again, Bwhahaha.

Didn't they make a street one too, or was there a mod to make them more streetable?
Ya they did, it was just another idle screw. That carb was the most repeatable one I have ever used for bracket racing. It was always within a hundredth or two of my dial in. Won a $500 race the first weekend I used it, my buddies at the time hated me. The mph was less over the Holley buy MPH does not win the race, elapse time wins the race.

I remember seeing them when I was young in car mags. What was the issue with them and why did they stop making them?

Always thought they were cool.
I think I remember "Bigfoot" monster truck having 3 of them on it when I was a kid.
