Used vehicle prices

Yes, it is way overpriced. All used vehicles are overpriced. My cousin in NYC can't even buy a car at all as there are none available.

Case in point, we had no more need for the 2020 Ford EcoSport I bought as a beater to get to client sites that I bought in 2021 as a leftover and got $5k off the sticker for $19k plus taxes out the door, and I just sold it (about a month ago) to Carvana for $21,500 with 15k miles on it.

I made $1,265.00 on the deal and drove the car for 15k miles.

Just hoping this keeps up for another month or so while I sell a nice 78 MGB!
A neighbor moved a few years ago and tried to sell an MG. Forgot the year but it was a plastic bumper year. Eventually they donated it I think for a tax deduction because no one wanted it. I hope your experience is different.

Unreal...no wonder GM tries to have us turn in our 2019 Volt from a lease...
We bought it at least end for 22K Carvana says 31K...

We otta add a "What's It Worth?" Section to the forum (for any type of vehicle). I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee "Orvis Edition", an expensive truck when new @ $48,000! I love the thing but my wife tells me it has to go before I buy a '67 Chevelle to put my new vintage rebuilt '67 396 L78 engine into. That same condition was put on me before I bought other things, so she's firm "this time"! Ha! It has served me well since early 1998 when I bought it CPO at a dealer. I'm the 2nd owner. It only has 251,000 miles 😉.....very strong V8! This is not a selling ad, HA, but I have no clue what to ask for it....I hate selling cars (I'd rather keep them!) Ha! It has many issues and shows wear and tear for sure. But, for the right Jeep lover I'd think it might be worth something (and possibly restoring...never wrecked). So, I'm open to suggested pricing. Since the values of used cars & trucks is on the up, maybe it's the right time to let it go?

Here's a recent pic (after pulling it out from under a tarp for 2 years...it started right up). But, never store a vehicle outside under a tarp!...not easy on a vehicle!

We do, it's called "Estimation Station".

Probably about 30K?
That's about what I was thinking. A year ago we stopped in at a dealer to get a part and got badgered by one of the sales flunky's. He was amazed by the truck with only 24K on it and said we would give you 16K for it on trade. I laughed at him and said I need 35K that my best price to you, he said no one will give you that, I called him and his manager a hypocrite for doing the same thing with their vehicles. I waved goodbye. As usual dealers are crooks out for themselves.
