I had an interesting conversation with my Dad and brothers over pizza and beer yesterday...
We all realized, what we drive today is older and higher mileage than the "beaters" we had in high school.
When I was in HS, everything I drove was about 7-10 years old and had 110-130k miles on it. They were cheap beaters from the early-90s (I graduated in 2001)
Today, my truck is 11 years old with 175k on it. My wife's car is 14 years old with 180k.
The used-car market sure has changed in 20 years...
