Bats

I just found bats in my attic, I suspected they were up there. I ordered a high frequency bat device, it will be here tomorrow. I want those rascals gone!

Most times they get in through gable vents that are not screened (the critter getter told us). I found out the hard way when Lisa and I bought our first house.

The first night in the house we heard a flurry of noise from the attic which led to the discovery the next morning. It wasn't pretty.

Talk about getting freaked out. When I went up there there must have been 50 or 60 bats, and I was out of there way faster than I had gotten up there.

We called a service and they came out and the bats were relocated. Took me a few hours to clean up the mess they made in the attic and then I put screen on the gable vents.

We don't have gable vents, ours is a ridgeline. We saw one come out through a soffit near where I found them.

And here I'm putting up bat houses. We've had two 300 count houses up for a few years now. They are full and we watch them pour out about 30min after sunset. We have noticed a dramatic change in mosquitos out here. We are getting ready to put up another two houses this month.

We need some Bats in our Belfry, Skeeters are terrible around here but I'd imagine they do leave a mess i.e. Batshit

We used to call the county mosquito truck to come and spray once a month. We haven't done that since the houses were up. One bat can eat thousands of bugs in one night.

We gonna have to talk.... we got some sketers at the new place. They didn't pay for it, so they got to go.

My dad used to spray the walls in his shop with something that had DDT in it. That was late 60's early 70's. Only had to do it about once a month.

Should one be telling others that they have bats in their attic in today's world? You might get a vacation in a rubber room. Just sayin'...
