Man I really hate tossing a machine that really sucks the wet dirty water up from the carpet but its too much trouble mixing the carpet cleaning solution with hot water, spraying it then scrub with a brush then use the machine to pick it up, guess I'll see if a shop wants it for parts Free

Doesn't the Shark have an attachment for that ?

Took me awhile but I got the dash ready to install in the morning :

Dash looks great 👍👍🙂 Shark does have the attachment but it wont need to leave the house using the Bissell and small areas I dont mind spraying cleaner and scrubbing, doing a house full of carpets and rugs I'd turn into looking like an old wash lady from a 1920's laundry real quick 😆🙂👍👍 Now I cant find my Wash board 😆👍👍

Was going to meet the manager of Taphouse 61 bar at 10am to see why the ac system we installed a cpl yrs ago is freezing up, guessing the evap coil is dirty, he texted at 9:30 to say his wifes Gfather passed away and can I come after 11:30am 🫤 I said I have some other jobs I scheduled after your job today so if I have time later today I'll let you know

Went to Sunshine Optics to see whats wrong with a 5 ton Goodman rooftop package unit we installed 2 yrs ago, same damn problem I had to fix twice about a year ago, TXV (expansion valve) went out within the first year, warranty replacement only lasted a week or 2 then they gave me an actual factory install type TXV and it worked for about 1 lousey year so now I need to change it again, this will be the 3rd replacement valve in roughly 2 years, I didnt think to take a pic cause I was pretty pissed off, Goodman has to have it brought in from Winter Haven so I might see it Friday 🙄 WH is about 2 hrs away, then went to one of Johns sons house, John is the engine builder I know, him and his wife bought a house last fall and it has a 2022 ac system but not keeping 75* in late afternoon (been 95-96*) in the afternoon lately, I fixed a cpl air leaks but the system is dialed in perfect and putting out 53* air out vents at 3:30pm, drain pan is flush with edge of air handler which is against code but permit was signed off 2 yrs ago so I just showed some pics how its supposed to be so now they know to watch for water dripping from the hall ceiling, they need weather stripping I can see light through ext door/windows and insul in the attic

Gaps everywhere will make the system work overtime. My brother who was a mechanical engineer was sued by a couple who built a 22k sq ft house where A/C was installed on a 3 season porch where they left the windows open all the time and were angry it wouldn't keep the room cool. They sued his insurance company, went to court, their attorney was trying to push the issue, a third party engineer called in by the attorney was questioned by my brother's / insurance company's attorney and the judge threw it out. As they were walking out the courtroom, the wife told my brother he needs to fix it, and before my brother could say anything, the insurance company told them "Fat chance. There is no way my client will ever do any work for you in any capacity ever again", and she responded she'd sue him again and the attorney said "We welcome another court case, and you'll be paying for those fees again. Sure you want to go down that path?" They walked away.

I should have taken pics of the gaps just to show here but the young lady (husband was stuck at work) completely understood what I was saying and she even repeated what I had told her earlier, a small cool air leak here and there and small return air leaks pulling hot attic air into the system then outdoor air leaks here and there all add up, she actually said "Small leaks here and there all add up" she was painting in another room and it looks like they haven't completely settled in yet so Im very sure they'll take care of weather stripping issues, the husbands dad knows all about how air flow works and Im sure would agree with what I explained to her, bar manager that couldn't meet me at 10am but wanted me to come when he went there to open at 11:30 texted me last evening at 8:16 wanting me to come there lol, I said I could be there today at 10am and latest I could meet him there unless I found some time during the day to stop by, No response, I hope he calls a company that has plenty of employees to send someone whenever the manager wants, I'm a little irratated with his wants or needs

I tried to install the assembled dash and it was just too heavy for me.
So i found some all-thread and installed a 3" long piece at the bottom of each side.
Slowly pulled it up into position with the all thread and then the two steering column support bolts.
The chrome screws across the top of the dash may be a future problem; only two of them really tightened up.
Those sheet metal nuts will need replacing sometime.
Now it's time to figure out where all of the wires go. At least with the new Dakota Dash, I think the wiring will be easier.

Holy shit batman, who hacked the living shit out of the inner door?
No idea. Probably someone trying to install speakers.
I'm not going to patch it until I get the windows back in.
I should be looking for a rusted out pass side door to cut up.
And if anyone has a good set of hood hinges with no slop, I need some.
I've already dropped the dash about 6"; the dash pad isn't installed right.
I ordered some new hardware from AMK.

I went to look at some problems to give est for repairs the last 2 days, first is a bar on Central ave downtown St Pete, we installed a new 5 ton ac system in 2022 and they've been using the cheapest filters possible so now the indoor unit evaporator coil is filthy and keeps freezing up, I think the thing that looks like a lizard might be mold, then went to the first of 2 houses for an owner that the tenants complain the ac isnt working right, first was just a drain problem so I contacted the owner gave him a price to fix it and rec'd coils get cleaned another day, 2nd home was being used as a care facility and what a mess that place is, animal hair plugging up the filter, floor was filthy with animal hair and the guy running the place kept telling me to remove my shoes, when I came back in with a step ladder to inspect the ducts in the attic I just kept my shoes on and guy didnt say anything, I also asked the owner how many people stayed at the facility? he thinks 4, I think more than 4 and I told him its a R22 system thats 2.5 ton you need a new 3 ton system and someone changing the filter at the very least once per month

Moving on with my El Camino, I pulled two rotten speaker boxes out today and shampooed the carpet, reinstalled the door panels and cleaned up everything ekse. This car sat outside for 25 years, parts of the cowl rotted out, but the floors are like new and this interior looks like it went in yesterday. Its a upholstry shop job, but made out of nice material and will last me for a while. I may eventually switch it over to pearl, but its show worthy for now. Even smells nice in there now!
